The mesothelioma and traffic fatality datasets mapped this information to either a local and unitary authority level. The following was undertaken to map both data sets:
Both datasets have been mapped identically.
Due to the datasets available there are a number of scenarios in which one Authority area may fall within more than one Parliamentary Constituency. As a result, the figures have been applied to all Parliamentary Constituencies within that Authority boundary.
An example is: Newham falls within the Parliamentary Constituencies of West Ham and Beckton, East Ham, Stratford and Bow.
Survey data was collected from 12 asbestos companies detailing the presence of asbestos materials categorized into groups A-G. These counts were aggregated to the constituency level for visualisation.

Building count data was sourced from the Valuation Office Agency (VOA) Property 8 dataset, mapped at the Lower Layer Super Output Area (LSOA) level. Using postcode directories, this data was manually linked to constituencies.
Each dataset underwent cleaning, processing, and alignment to constituencies to allow meaningful spatial analysis while accounting for challenges in aggregation and boundary overlaps.
